As you will no doubt be aware, Chris Stafford will be retiring from the University at the end of October. Chris joined Newcastle in September 1993 as the Office Manager in the Registrars Office, became the Head of Faculty Planning and Resources but with specific responsibility for the Faculty of Law, Environment and Social Sciences in 1998, and since its inception in 2001 has served the HaSS Faculty as its Director of Faculty Operations. She has had an enormous impact on the success of the Faculty during that time as a key member of the Faculty leadership team, and we have all benefitted from her energy, dedication, excellent judgement, collegiality and kindness during her time in HaSS.
