Asphalt Materials and Pavements 2022

Description

This course gives delegates an understanding of the properties and performance of asphalt and the design, construction and maintenance of asphalt pavements is a fundamental requirement for a highway engineer and those in associated disciplines. However, undergraduate courses are generally unable to cover these subjects in sufficient detail. The course has been designed primarily for highways-related operatives, technicians, engineers and managers or anyone who wishes to extend their knowledge of asphalt materials, pavement design, construction and maintenance. This course will also serve more senior professional engineers who wish to update their knowledge of asphalt materials and flexible pavement design, construction and maintenance.

Young Geotechnics Symposium

Young Geotechnics Symposium

Description

The Young Geotechnical Engineers Symposium ( YGES 2022) will be held by Newcastle University at The Catalyst on 4-5 July 2022.

YGES 2022 will bring together students, researchers and practicing engineers to discuss the latest advances in geotechnical engineering and how to address current ground engineering challenges. For practicing engineers, this is an opportunity to showcase exciting and innovative projects in which they are involved.

There is no restriction on topic other than it must demonstrate innovation in research, design or construction in geotechnical engineering. We welcome submissions from both research and industry partners.

The winner of the best presentation at the Symposium will be invited to present at the annual BGA conference at the ICE in London in June 2023.
