Dr Kirsten Brandt is retiring at the end of January 2025, after over 20 years with the HNERC.

Kirsten has been a supportive colleague, an active and engaged university teacher, a caring and supportive research supervisor and a member of numerous external committees and groups. Kirsten has also been something of an advocate for the health benefits of carrots and occasionally mentions this in research meetings. We are planning a leaving do for Kirsten very soon and are setting up a collection to buy her a leaving gift. Details will follow.
