The Centre for Life is a unique science village, which includes a Bioscience Centre, an exhibition area, the North-East Stem Cell Institute and the Institute of Human Genetics. The Centre has excellent purpose-built conference facilities, including a large plenary room and several break-out rooms.

By Car

Life is situated a few minutes drive from the A1(M). There are over 400 secure car parking spaces available at Times Square Car Park (pay and display).

Sponsoring companies should contact the organisers as alternative arrangements have been made for them to drop off exhibits.

By Train

Life is located just 200 metres from Newcastle Central Station and the Metro underground station.

When coming out of the station on foot, turn left and continue walking for approximately 150 M. You will see the Centre for Life directly ahead of you, with a glass bridge joining the two halves of the building. Do not walk under here, but instead turn left and walk down the left side of the building. The Conference and Banqueting Suite is approximately 50 M down this road, past the Institute of Genetic Medicine, on the right hand side.

By Air

Newcastle International Airport is just 6 miles from the city centre, and has connecting scheduled flights to all major UK airports and international hubs.

The airport is 20 minutes away from Life by car, or 30 minutes by Metro.
