More information The registration fee covers expenses for administration, refreshments, and lunch, but excludes the conference dinner. Postgraduates and the unwaged may register at the reduced rate (details below). Postgraduates may also apply for travel bursaries. To do so, please get in touch with the BIAHS's Treasurer, Dominic Williams ([email protected]). The conference dinner will take place on 29 June, and will be held in the Banqueting Hall of Blackfriars Restaurant. If you wish to come to the dinner, you need to select this as an optional extra. Please note that due to restaurant capacity limitations the dinner is restricted to 50 diners on a first come, first served basis. If this number is exceeded, you will be refunded accordingly. If you sign up for the dinner, you will be sent a pre-booking form for your meal choices once the menu for the meal is confirmed. All meals will include vegetarian options. We may also be able to accommodate other dietary requirements. Please indicate these in the form after booking. The registration fees and the dinner have been generously subsidised by Newcastle University (School of Modern Languages; Humanities Research Institute; Global Fund) as well as by the European Association for Holocaust Studies (EAHS). Please note that the registration fee does NOT include accommodation. Motel One is provisionally holding rooms for BIAHS conference delegates until 23 'May'(room only is currently 59GBP per day, and 71.50GBP for B&B per day). The address for the hotel is 15-25 High Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1EW. You can book by either phoning them on 0191-2111090 or by emailing the hotel at [email protected] If booking a room at Motel One, please quote reference 'BIAHS conference' to receive these discounted rates. You may of course choose alternative accommodation. Whichever accommodation option you choose, please secure your booking early, because June is a busy time in Newcastle: not only are graduation ceremonies taking place at both of Newcastle's universities, we're also hosting two major conferences at NU, the Memory Studies Association and the Society for French Studies annual conferences, both of which are scheduled close to the BIAHS event. Newcastle is a compact town, and the conference venue, the restaurant, and Motel One are within easy walking distance of each other.
