Many colleagues will already be aware that, following a lengthy period away from the University, Margaret Hunter decided to take early retirement from her role as Director of Accommodation and Hospitality Services, with effect from 30 June 2017.
Margaret joined Newcastle University in 2003 as Director of Residences, Catering and Conferences, having spent much of her career as a manager of campus, residential and catering services for students, including the role of Director of Residential Services at Staffordshire University. Margaret has made an exceptional contribution to the work of the University and will be much missed by us all.
Although Margaret has already left the University, there will be an opportunity to thank her for her dedication and contribution over many years, and wish her well for the future, at a presentation on Wednesday 20 September, at 4.00pm in the Courtyard. The event will be an opportunity to present Margaret with a gift, and if you would like to make a contribution, please make your donation here by midnight on 10 September.
